Description
SKF Sealed and Greased for Life Hybrid Deep Groove Ball Bearings: Special application bearings, the outer and inner races are made from bearing steel and the rolling elements are made from Silicon Nitride (SiN4) In addition to being excellent electrical insulators hybrid bearings have a higher speed capacity and longer service life that normal steel only bearings. RSL series bearings have low friction acrylonitrile butadiene rubber steel reinforced seals fitted which form an extremely narrow gap between the seal and the cylindrical inner race surface. Being a practically non contacting they give the advantage of having a lower starting torque and rolling resistance in operation. Ideally suited to applications where ease of initial rotation is required they are equally at home in place of standard rubber sealed bearings and when fitted offer slight reductions in energy usage. They can be used at temperature from -40 to +100 C or 120C for brief periods.
