Sturdi® Sleeve: The quickest and most sensible way to repair a worn shaft. The Sturdi® sleeve range offers the opportunity to repair seal counter faces on shafts without prior dismantling or machining of the equipment and once fitted offers superior surface and sealing characteristics often outperforming the original life span of the shaft. Speedi Sleeves are designed to repair shafts where oil seals run. The sleeve is sufficiently thin-walled (.011" or 0.28 mm) to allow the same size of seal to be used. The Sturdi® shaft repair sleeve is made of high quality stainless steel SAE 304. The surface is wear-resistant and machined without directionality to a finish of Ra = 10 to 20 micro inches
or 0.25 to 0.5 µm. |
