Description
Coiled Nickel Stainless Steel Roll Pins with Pickled Finish: These roll pins are manufactured from austenitic nickel stainless steel (DIN 7343 / AISI 304). Nickel stainless steel is the perfect material for corrosion resistance. Suitable in many environments such as oxygenating, non-oxygenating, fresh water, and acidic environments.
However, nickel stainless steel is not as strong as high-carbon steel due to the heat-treating process being eliminated. This means that these pins are not ideal in applications where there are high shocks and vibrations. Also, fatigue resistance is reduced when compared to other materials. The recommended service temperatures for nickel stainless steel pins are between -185 Deg C and 400 Deg C.
These pins are completed with a passivated (pickled) finish. The passivation process is the removal of surface contaminants such as embedded iron or iron particles. This process is essential when used in applications such as medical equipment or in the food industry.
