SKF SA..ES Series Rod End Bearings: This series is classed as rod end bearings requiring maintenance. Comprising of sliding contact surfaces of steel against steel these rod end bearings are unsealed and require maintenance from time to time, there is a dedicated lubrication point on models from 15 to 20mm provided in the form of a 2.5mm dia lubrication hole in the rod end head, models from 25 to 80mm are provided with a grease nipple, this aligns with an annular groove in the outer raceways and the lubricant passes through small holes onto the mating surfaces, there is also an annular groove on the inside of the ball so lubricant can also be fed through the spindle on which it is mounted if required. These are metric sized male rod end bearings. They are made of heat treatable C45V steel and zinc coated and chromatized and will operate within -50 deg C to +200 deg C. Available in Right or Left hand threads, the Left hand threaded version has a letter L in the part number to denote the difference. Application: Suitable for heavy static or alternating loads, shock loads. Benefits: Re-lubricate-able, cleanable. |
