SKF SAKAC..M Series Rod End Bearings: This series is classed as maintenance free rod end bearings. Comprising of sliding contact surfaces of steel against bronze these rod end bearings are unsealed and although classed as maintenance free may require maintenance from time to time in the form of re-lubrication via the re lubrication point in the side of the head this will serve to extend it's life cycle. The exception is the SAKAC5M size which has no lubrication point and will need to be lubricated from the sides of the ball. Sizes 5-12 are manufactured from free machining steel 9 SMnPb28K zinc coated and chromatized and bronze, sizes 14-30 are manufactured from heat treatable C35N Steel zinc coated and chromatized and bronze and will operate within -30deg C to +180 deg C. Left and Right hand threaded versions are available an L in the part number denotes the left hand option. These are metric sized rod end bearings. Application: Lower load carrying capacity compared to steel/steel rod ends, but more suitable for applications where lubricant starvation might occur. Benefits: Maintenance free, Steel / Bronze |
