Description
Silver Steel: Silver steel is precision round bar stock conforming to BS1407. It is manufactured in a centreless grinding process and can be machined, reworked and hardened as required. Each length is supplied with protective coating solution applied to it to ensure its finish is maintained.
Benefits: Silver Steel can be machined, softened, re-hardened and tempered by heat treatment processes.
Tolerance guide: Bars of less than 25mm diameter or 1 inch: Tolerances are stated as maximum +/- 0.015mm on diameter.
Bars between 25mm to 50mm or 1 inch to 2 inch: Tolerances are stated as maximum +/- 0.025mm on diameter.
