Description
Platewheels: Chain sprockets are not only to drive or be driven by a chain as part of a drive, but also to guide and support the chain in its intended path. Platewheels are also referred to as hubless sprockets. Often sprockets have a boss on one side which can limit the design constraints; plate wheels fill that gap by allowing the designer to specify the bespoke attachment of their choice, whether it's a custom boss bolted or welded to it or a set of bolt holes to attach to the driven components.
Benefits: They can be fitted onto a flanged boss and clamped in place or used with torque limiters or be bolted in place by means of holes you can make yourself, of C45 steel construction they have hardened teeth but the plate wheel can be drilled or machined as required for the fitment.
