UJDP Stainless Steel Universal Double Joint with Plain Bearing: A Universal Joint (U-joint, Cardan joint, Hooke’s joint) is a mechanical coupling that connects rotating shafts, allowing them to transmit torque even when misaligned. It features two hinges at 90 degrees to each other, connected by a cross shaft. This universal joint is double-jointed and is made of stainless steel 304 with a plain bearing. Commonly used in machinery drive shafts, they provide flexibility and accommodate misalignment while transmitting rotary motion and power. Double cardan joints use two-phased universal joints to reduce variations in angular velocity.
